Can I say how much I love this image? I love, love, love it! I’ve been wanting to try this field/setting sun/backlit image for quite some time but never had a willing participant. Sydney was feeling particularly generous this evening and indulged my need for pictures. I have the perfect location for this so if you want one just let me know!

Last month I attended a get together with a couple other photographers in Janesville, WI. I had so much fun! We walked around the downtown area and took some pictures and then went to a local park. I brought my daughter along and told her she would be a model for the day. She was a great poser and totally earned the $20 she talked me in to!

What fun this session was! This little cutie turned 1 and we did a cake smash. She was very happy initally and then just decided she was done and crawled away! Isn’t she adorable?

Happy 4th of July! This is the first time I’ve tried to take pictures of the fireworks. It was a spur of the moment thing–but I think they turned out ok. I brought my tripod but forgot the piece I needed to attach my camera to it so I set my camera up on our blanket and just pressed the shutter. Aren’t they pretty?

What a beautiful weekend to celebrate the 4th of July! We went to the Farmer’s Market this afternoon to buy some fresh veggies. West Allis has a large market with lots of flowers, food and vegetables…and the mushrooms were HUGE!

Mason was sooooo adorable! He was a stinker and wouldn’t sleep for me. I didn’t get many pictures but am excited about rescheduling to try again. He had the most gorgeous skin and eyes!
